Margaret Moore grew up in Raleigh. Dad was a Veterinarian and professor at NCSU for 30 years. Her mom taught elementary school.
Margaret graduated from Broughton in 1969, when Broughton was ranked #14 in the nation academically.
She went to Meredith College Freshman & Sophmore years, then transferred into to NCSU in Pre-Med/ Med Tech.
She transferred to UNC Chapel Hill & graduated in Medical Technology from UNC & a concurrent degree in Med Tech from NCSU.
She started in Graduate School at NCSU in Biochemistry, and ended up in Microbiology.
Margaret has worked professionally in research, hospital laboratories, sales, & ran a family owned Mercedes shop in Cary for 10 years with her husband, Graham Moore.
Her recreational hobbies are flying, boating & horseback riding. They own a horse farm in Chatham County.
She & her husband are part-owners of a Beech Bonanza, that is hangered at Raleigh Executive Jetport, formerly Sanford Regional Airport. She finally obtained her private pilot certificate in 2006, & they fly everywhere together.
